How to handle being ghosted by a client

Uh oh. We’ve all been there. Everything seems to be going good, you got your clients, but then, they ghost you.

They just… stop coming.

So what happened?

It’s so easy here to get mixed up in wondering what possibly “went wrong.”

You might be thinking thoughts like:

Did she stop getting lashes completely?

Did I say something wrong or offend her?

Was my service bad?

I suck.

This happens a lot.

I can’t get clients to stay!

If these thoughts have come to you, you’re not alone. But the truth is that there could be a MILLION reasons why someone stopped coming. Maybe they just decided lashes weren’t for them.

Maybe they want to spend their cash on something else.

Maybe they just forgot to book!

You can get a lot of information from asking someone about something. But you will get ZERO information from spinning in your head about what might have happened.

So, what do you do?

I recommend sending a message to any clients who haven’t been back in awhile. Ask them how they are and offer to book them another service.

A message might look like, “Hi Maria! This is Erica from Simply Lash, I hope you’re doing amazing! I noticed you haven’t been on my books in awhile and I’d love to see you again! I hope everything is okay! Did you want to get back on the books soon for your next service?

If they respond then go ahead and book them. If they don’t want to come back, you can always politely ask if there is anything you can do to improve your service for the next time.

Take this constructive criticism and apply to improve your business and services!

BOTTOM LINE: You can’t read minds. I wish I could, but I can’t. Stop spinning, and start asking 🙂
